We are excited to announce that Rabbi Emily Aviva Kapor-Mater will be joining us for a Resource Round up highlighting her “Haggadah Shir Ge’ulah (the Song of Liberation)” on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific.

“While this isn’t a ‘transgender Haggadah’ per se,” says Transfaith Institute coordinator, Chris Paige, “Rabbi Emily is obviously deeply committed to both wide-reaching liberation and the fullness of Jewish tradition. It shows throughout her work.”

Rabbi Emily Aviva Kapor-Mater is a radical transfeminist rabbi and activist. Her rabbinic work focuses on creating innovative yet traditional Jewish law, liturgy, and ritual, in order to affirm trans* identities and experiences. As an autistic and hearing-impaired person, she also works for acceptance and accessibility for people with visible and invisible disabilities.
